Woodland Explorers Award
Getting young people to engage with the natural environment

What is it all about
The Woodland Explorers Program is about getting young people to engage with the natural environment and to learn new skills outside the classroom with practical hands-on activities.
The program is aimed at young people aged between 8 to 12 years old.
The award is divided into three levels Bronze, Silver, and Gold. There are 12 main Key Skill Areas, which are then subdivided into activities of different skill level.
The program will run through the school holidays. It is also possible to run this program on a weekly bases during term time either on your site or on ours. All activities can be linked to the National Curriculum. The groups sizes are small to enable maximum interaction and participation.
The sessions run from 9 o’clock through to 3 o’clock each day. We will cover 4 main Skill Area each day with hands-on activities for them to actively participate in.
The participants work through the award at their own pace starting with the Bronze level. As they progress through the award the activities will become more challenging.

Had a brilliant day in the woods exploring and trying new activities such as bushcraft and how to make fire with out matches. The instructors had great knowledge.
